If I have to clear things up, please let me know. It's hard to OSRS Gold determine what you're actually dealing with. I'd suggest getting Torva, or saving up to purchase Torva. Malevolent is a dust-maker, whereas Torva is repairable. It also is well rounded and would negate the necessity to utilize Bandos which is not very efficient even for mid-level Slayer-related tasks, in my opinion.

Overall, the Torva will not cost a lot since you'll have to buy a whole new set of Malevolent frequently to keep up with the rate at which it'll be degrading. If you're looking to completely bossing around, then think about a set of Malevolent, but just be aware that it's bound to turn into dust and you'll need to be able to make over 17m for the hours you're able to spend with it to be financially feasible.

I'm a bit of an old-newbie. I played Runescape, several years ago. I recently upgraded my computer and hadn't played for a while. I downloaded the game onto my new laptop this weekend, which means I'm playing the new version of Runescape - I've basically forgot everything I knew about the basics games controls and where to find shops and how to view my items in my inventory, ways to heal/regenerate hit points (I'm an unpaid player), etc.

I'm still struggling - I've learned how to cut down trees, set fires, cook/eat food to replenish health, and so on. I've figured out some of the techniques however, I'm not quite sure what spells to use, though maybe I'm not high enough in level to need them. (Level 17)

I've taken on my "Shadow Over Arsdale" challenge and managed to get through to the big critter that immediately kills you if you see it.
