Horizon Zero Dawn might be getting a significant upgrade
Sony has plans that are ambitious for its next generation of virtual FUT 23 Coins reality hardware and plans to have 2 million units of the PSVR 2 headset ready by March next year.
Mass production of the virtual reality headset reportedly began at the end of September (via Bloomberg) and has been able to overcome supply chain constraints. With the PS5 being demanded due to its limited supply since it launched in November of this year, Sony is also planning to have more console stock on shelves by the time 2023 is around the corner, according to Bloomberg's sources.
PSVR 2 is yet to get a release date past 2023, but Sony is attempting to ensure that it has enough PS5 consoles that can play games with the brand new headset. The hardware is only compatible with PS5 and will not be backwards compatible with PSVR games.
What is known about this device is that it packs amazing specs. Like it's predecessor the PS5 as well as its DualSense controller, Sony has jammed haptic feedback, adaptive triggers eye-tracking with inside-out tracking also 3D music into the package however, it's not yet released an official retail price.
"PSVR 2 seems poised to be a shot in the arm for it in the gaming market," Tamoor Hussain wrote in GameSpot's PSVR 2 preview. "It remains to be seen if PSVR 2 will draw a large amount of excitement, but at most basic level, I'm convinced that it'll be one step closer in achieving the full potential of this device."
