NBA 2K has evolved from simply another product that is hyped within the world of gaming. It's become a major cultural phenomenon and its intersection of music, pop culture and fashion, sneakers NBA 2K23 MT, and of course, basketball has brought the franchise to heights that no other game has rivaled. With its latest edition, NBA 2K23, the game set a new standard when it announced J. Cole as the first rapper to grace its cover NBA 2K with the Dreamer Edition. Although it's definitely a surprise that 2K announced a cover like this especially so late in the rollout, the trend of the game's own design may have hinted at this happening some day. However it wasn't the idea of 2K, it is J. Cole's.
"Three and a half years when he shot a ball in one break of the All-Star Weekend Saturday Night, J. Cole said 'Ronnie, I'd love to be in MyCareer and help you think of the ideas around it,'" Ronnie 2K tells Complex. "I worked with our team to bring this idea to life , and it was an honor to work with Ronnie 2K. When we released the teaser, everyone thought it was another basketball player...it allows us live in fashion, culture, music and 2K is seated at the table right now."
