Five Nights at Freddy's is a series of scary video games in which the player is a security guard at Freddy Fazbear's Pizza, a family restaurant and arcade, during the night. Warner Bros. has bought the rights to turn it into a movie.

The first game in the Fnaf series was launched in 2014, marking the beginning of the series. There have been a total of 13 FNAF games released after that point. There are nine stories that are more typical, and there are four that are spin-offs. Over the course of these 13 games, players have had the opportunity to acquire a significant amount of lore regarding the world outside of the animatronics and surveillance cameras.
